Tax Partner - GeneralistLeading regional CPA firm is seeking an experienced Tax Partner to join their team. The ideal candidate must have expertise in corporate, partnership, and high net worth individual tax. This position offers a flexible work schedule, with the option to work both in-office and remotely, based in either L.A. or Woodland Hills, CA. Partners are responsible for guiding and training staff, as well as expanding business opportunities for the firm.Essential FunctionsManage accounting, auditing, tax, and advisory services for clients.Review and approve tax returns.Oversee recruitment, training, and retention of tax staff, including college recruiting efforts.Conduct interviews, extend job offers, and review performance of accounting staff.Maintain technical competency through ongoing education and training.Develop new business through client expansion and networking.Help establish and administer training programs for professional staff.Ensure continuity in staff assignments and address staff issues and development.Contribute to quality control processes and documentation.Nonessential FunctionsParticipate in firm-wide business development initiatives.Promote efficient operations and compliance in team management.Contribute insights to improve firm operations and profitability.Perform other duties as assigned by the Managing Partner.Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesDemonstrate expertise in tax laws, regulations, and financial software.Proficiency in using computer accounting and tax software programs.Demonstrate ability to attract new business to a CPA Firm.Organize work, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines efficiently and accurately.Manage multiple tasks effectively and reason logically.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesDevelop, coach, and train all tax employees.Understand and address training needs of tax staff.Participate in performance reviews, compensation, and evaluations.Minimum QualificationsRequires ten to fifteen years of public accounting experience.Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting.Maintain forty hours of annual professional education.Hold a current CPA license.
