Opening: Leasing Agent
Location: Seattle, WA - Capitol Hill Area
Pay: DOE
Schedule: Full-Time

WHO THEY ARE
Our client is a well-established affordable housing organization serving communities throughout the Seattle area. They manage a diverse portfolio of apartment communities and are committed to providing quality, affordable housing while creating welcoming and inclusive environments for residents.


They are looking for a personable and organized Leasing Agent who can guide prospective residents through the leasing process while providing excellent customer service and maintaining accurate documentation.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Respond to leasing inquiries from prospective residents
  • Provide information regarding available apartments, rental qualifications, and eligibility requirements
  • Schedule and conduct apartment tours
  • Guide applicants through the rental application and leasing process
  • Collect and review required application documentation
  • Assist with verifying applicant information and eligibility
  • Maintain accurate leasing files, records, and applicant information
  • Follow up with applicants regarding outstanding documentation or next steps
  • Coordinate approved move-ins and lease signings
  • Communicate professionally with applicants, residents, Property Managers, and internal teams
  • Help ensure leasing activities follow Fair Housing requirements and applicable housing guidelines

WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE
  • Previous leasing, property management, housing, or related customer service experience
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Comfortable communicating with prospective residents by phone, email, and in person
  • Strong attention to detail when handling applications and documentation
  • Ability to stay organized while managing multiple applicants and priorities
  • Comfortable learning and following housing eligibility and compliance requirements
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn property management systems
  • Professional, dependable, and comfortable working with people from a variety of backgrounds
PREFERRED
  • Previous apartment leasing or property management experience
  • Affordable housing experience
  • Experience with income-restricted, HUD, Section 8, or other regulated housing programs
  • Experience reviewing leasing applications and eligibility documentation

  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle sensitive applicant information professionally
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with the property management team
  • Commitment to providing a positive experience for prospective and current residents
